Packwood Pro Solo
The Braun/Wood RX-8 has a bad 2nd gear syncro, so they are having to shift slow and can not go back down to first twice per side as I hear the rest are doing. Glenn put them all away on the fri warm up for the tour last weekend, this could be his event.
Two downshifts per side sounds like a very unusual Pro course particularly if the torque monster Z is also going to first gear. But I guess this is the year for strange and unusual courses....but as always, all must drive the same course .

I don't know if Glenn is downshifting the Z, but the 8 guys are. Joe is an ex-S2K driver, if he has to lift he will downshift. lol

Braun's last run -- just as I redlight in front of him.
I tried for fast time at that point, and took off at least 0.3 seconds, but it was too late.
Congrats to Matthew -- they didn't believe me when I told them I was only going to run 80% on Saturday morning...I guess they believe me now.
(P.S. I did the same to Matthew on Saturday, so turnabout is fair play.)
Oh, and a correction:
Braun, Austin, Goeke, De Regt, Wood, Goeke, Hudetz - 1.8 seconds covers first to seventh.

Thanks. I finally figured out how to actually use the new tires.
The courses were tight with two slowish turns, but the fact that I didn't walk away from everybody (and 0.13 seconds is not "walking away") shows that it wasn't as tight as everyone was (is?) complaining about.
The right side was definately tigher than the left, but the elements were placed virtually identically in time, you just carried 5-8 MPH more on the left side than the right. I still hit the rev limiter in the finish lanes on both sides, so there was speed to be had, but the finish lanes on both sides were off-camber, and you needed to know whether you trusted the car and tires or not -- or whether you wanted to pay for a new light (yes, they were *that* close to the outside edge of the course, and yes, they did get hit one day). Carrying speed in the slower sections was definately the key to the course.
I'll get the video off the camera and the data off of the GTechPro and get the overlay of the data on the video up ASAP.
