[QUOTE=Z1NONLY]If you tell me what tires you are running

That's very helpful information! I've got 3-day-old Axis 19" wheels and Nitto NT 555's.
Strange, but the OEM 18" seemed to handle much better on long, fast curves - the "slip" indicator lights up now. (Or maybe I'm going faster, due to higher expectations.)
Definitely will have to try the autocross.
Maybe Z you there . . . thanks.

I will try to make it to a future event. Realized Friday night the shop installed the WRONG SIZE tires on my car; they wouldn't swap them until tomorrow.
Hope you'll keep us posted regarding track schedules.

It's a local Z forum. I post most autoX events there.
There is one coming up @ Homestead on Sept 16th.

The event down there in homstead takes place in a parking lot in which a group of Karts practice so they have some plastic barricades and some berms. It is a real nice please for AutoX. Z ya there, is nice to see more and more Z enthusiasts in AutoX.

Surprisingly, they did not rub at all. I set my suspension when i was running 275's, but now Im running 285's and when i drive over uneven pavement, i get some rubbing. But on the track, not once. I am going to raise the rear up about 3/16" and I dont think I will have any more issues with it. I have been looking for some track rubber for my stock wheels. know anyone who has some laying around? I have the 17" oems. My regular wheels are a little heavy. I can't wait until the next event.. I have been reading articles, and watching autox vids.. My wifey is tired of hearing about how fun it was. I'm just hooked. In comparision, the drag strip seems so boring now! I was meaning to ask.. what is the evolution school all about? I will take any class available, especially when it's practically in my back yard.

These are little soft in the sidewall, but otherwise pretty good (245/4517 front and 255/45-17 rear);

These have about the same grip (a little better than the MX's when cold), but feel "sharper" than the MX's. ( It looks like you would have to go with 245/45-17's at all four though);

I hear these are the (street) tires to have now (also looks like 245/45-17 at all four);

Looking forward to the next GCAC event. We're gonna try to get Dave to let us use the long end of the Sat course for a National Tour Test & Tune. I need to scuff in some new tires
See you there!
