We run, rain or shine. As long as there is no lightning.

ZdayZ was great, as always. I got my first uninterrupted run from the state line to the lookout!

Here are a couple vids..
https://my350z.com/forum/videos/360757-zdayz-2008-video-s.html

And yes, I have the Koni's on, thanks to Jason, and they are all I was told they would be. Between the Koni's and the new BFG KD's she is hooking up better than ever.

I can't wait to hit the track!

Hey Mike, thanks for the tips and ridealongs in your Z! They were a huge help. Yesterday's course was fantastic... especially the finish. I just saw my best split times and I'm kicking myself for blowing what would have been a 75s run. Lesson learned though. At least I have this coming weekend to redeem myself Did you see your times yet?

No problem. -Glad you liked the course. I liked it too, but I hate shifting so much. Don't kick yourself too much. If it wasn't a challenge to put together great runs, this sport would get boring. Good luck at your next event.

I did see my times. 70.063 on street tires was good, but the Z has more in her. (She's never been this fast before. The Koni's really helped) So I still have some (driving) work to do.

I'm in! Last bit of seat time before nationals. I may be coming over Sat too for the test and tune, but on my street tires. Should be fun!

Cool.

I took the whole sumer break off. I was getting burned-out. Now I am looking forward to hitting the track. Even though I expect to be a bit rusty, I can't wait.

BTW: Need a place to stay, sat night? (So you don't have to drive back and forth accross the state.)

I'm in too, can't wait to get out there on that great surface and to wish you guys the best of luck at Nats.

I'm debating going out there on Sat or Sun, but I'll defintely be there at least 1 day. I'm thinking Sat would be best as we can ride together and swap cars....I'd love to get some feedback on the way the car feels now that the springs and rear sway are on.

Yes, thanks to Jason I got springs on the car (Eibach Pro-Kit ~1" drop) and put the rear sway bar on (Hotchkis).

Unfortunately, since I'm also running Stoptech 13" front brakes (calipers move me out of BSP) I'm no longer BS, or even BSP. So now I'm running freakin' SM2!

Tires are Nitto NT-01s, 255/40/17 on all four. Car feels great, the tires are R-Comps but nowhere near a V710. I ran them a couple of weeks ago and they were awesome, really good feel and stickier than expected.

One of my goals is to get into NASA Time Trials, the Z is in TTC. Unfortunately it's really tough to do both Autox and NASA TT since the legal/optimal setup is so different. So for now Im just gonna leave the car the way it is and run SM2. If I feel there would be anything to gain by running V710s I'll buy some time soon.

See you there!

Actually, it has been proposed for 2009 to allow big brake kits in SP, so you might get lucky. I ran into the same issue as you last year and it doesn't make sense to me why brake upgrades are legal in STX/STU but not in SP where many HPDE/TT cars would otherwise be classed in.

As far as the Nittos go, in my experience they are about a second slower, closer to 2 as they get heat cycled out. They've been a great dual-duty tire to me, but I'm basically throwing away my first couple of runs at every event (if only doing donuts in the parking area was allowed so I could warm them up ). I might have someone with Kumhos drive my car again on Saturday for a more direct comparison, but more than likely I'll be getting V710s next since I rarely track anymore. I'd be interested to hear what your experiences are.

See you guys there.

Well, thanks to Ike, I may just be going on Saturday.

I've got some experience on the 710's so if you want me to take a stab at it I'd be happy to. Everyone can vouch for me that I won't damage your car

I'll be there on my street tires....

I can vouch for Jason, no doubt he would be the guy to give you the info/feedback you're looking for, on your car and/or your driving.

Jay, Mike, feel free to drive my car on Sat. Also if you guys have time I'd love it if you guys could ride w/ me and maybe give me some pointers too.

Thanks, See ya

He won't hurt anyone's car, but his times have been known to bruise egos.

I'm in. Thanks.

The wife and I went out last friday and took the Z. It has been sitting so long, it almost wouldn't start. I haven't raced in months.

I hope I don't suck too bad.
