The closer you get, the smoother the roads. (more boring roads though)

I just got a new JWT clutch and flywheel, (new CD009 transmission too!) so I have to put a few hundred miles on the car before this weekend.

I need some practice too. The new combo feels like an on/off switch.

 

what? Serously? Man, did you get a good deal or something? Mind PMing me how much you spent? Maybe one day I'll switch to the cd009/JWT combo as well.

 

I have about two more weeks left on the powertrain warranty and noticed 5th gear was "picky" on the road trip.

I took it to Sutherlin Nissan and they put in a new transmission under warranty.

When I asked about the clutch they said it was about 3/4 done, and flywheel was "blue".

I would have went with stock parts but they wanted $1100 just for the flywheel.

-Was able to get the JWT clutch and flywheel for +/- $700, so I went that route.

After putting about 100 miles on the new setup I have learned that my old transmission was in worse shape than I realized.

They warned me that the aftermarket clutch was stiff in the peddal but, compared to my old transmission, it feels easier.

Damn, wished i lived in Florida! My stock as an auto-xer would rise significantly with year round practice!
