Looking at 2 track wheels, cannot decide
So,
I decided to graduate from my stock 17's with 255/40/17 victoracers on them to a decent set of 18 inch track wheels wider than 9 inches and run 275/30/18's on them. This is not a daily driver. Track and good weather on occasion only. I have another set of wheels I drive on when im not at the track.
My car is primarily used for SCCA solo2 autocross but I hope to see a couple HPDE events next season.
I am kind of torn between the Enkei NT03+M or the Enkei RPF1.
In the NT03+M I would get:
18x9.5
ET 27
19.9lbs
$292 each
In the RPF1 I could get:
18x9.5
ET 15
19 lbs
$324 each
OR
In the NT03+M I could go crazy and get:
18x10.5
ET 30
21lbs
$312 each
My concerns:
In the 9.5 inch nt03 will a 27 offset still allow me to run a 275 up front? I am under the impression that too little offset will cause issues with the fender so I should be okay here? Or will i run into problems with the stock A-arms rubbing?
In the 9.5 inch RPF1, its a 15 offset, that seems really agressive and that I may have to roll the fenders and run huge camber. Although I may eventually have to do that anyhow to get the rubber I want under the car and running a good amount of camber is always good for the track. this is also the most expensive wheel of the 3.
In the 10.5 nt03 a 30 offset seems pretty high, but it is the widest of the group. Although it is also the heaviest.
Any suggestions or thoughts? Anyone want to recomment another set of 9+ inch wheels that are lightweight, forged, and cost less than $1200?

To get the most out of the 275s you're planning on running, get at least a 10" wide wheel. Ideally you should run the 285/30-18 V710s or A6s because that's where the tire manufacturers are spending their research money. A 10.5" rim works best with those size tires. A 9.5" wheel is a compromise at 275 or 285 widths. It does work and can work well, but if you're wheel width is not limited by rules and you're buying new wheels anyway, why compromise?

the NT03 in the 27 offset fits perfectly at all 4 corners - since I'm running LMGT4s at 18x9.5 ET30 w/ 275/40/18 - granted, street tires are narrower than slicks / dot-Rs ...
you won't need HUGE camber, but no matter what at least -2 up front (or all around) is probably necessary with that tire.
From searching on the boards the people running +15s do so to "fill out" the tire well but end up having to run a narrower stretched tire to clear stuff.
I'm in the same boat as you, I want to buy a 2nd set of wheels (so I can keep these for rain/wet/cold use where a street tire will be easier for me to find limits and not loop the car).

Any suggestions on ones that will fit the car well? I'm at a loss after spending DAYS using TireRack, wheel offset calculators, etc... I'm just scared to plunk down 2-3k and end up ordering something that doesn't fit (vs just wimping out and getting another set of LMGT4s @ 18x9.5)

I can get Kodiaks. Mike (Hippe on my350z) ordered a set from me and he's running 315s in the back and 285s up front. There's a thread here somewhere that he created showing pictures, etc. His Kodiaks came in around 21 lbs. A little heavy but the wheel mounting hub ended up being thicker then planned due to the backspace numbers we were trying to hit.

NOT3+m's
I love my NOT3+M's at the track. I run 265's in the front on 9.5's and 295's in the rear on 10.5's.
Unique wheel, very light, lots of compliments and duel valve stems for nitogen use.

OK, so after all the information looks like I CAN run Enkei's 18X9.5's on all four corners with 275's with an offset of 22-27 Yes???
Also sounds like up front if offset is less than 20 they may rub without rolling fenders..

on my ET30s there is ZERO extra clearance on the inside (tire-to-suspension - it doesn't rub but any less room and I'm sure it would) and plenty outside, that's why I wanted the NT03 to begin with, moved everything 3mm out. With ET25 you should fit perfectly, ET22, I would worry with a 265-275 or bigger unless you'd done some fender cutting/grinding/rolling - but then keep in mind variation between tires, my 265 Pilot Cups are wider than my 275 RE050s. 275 hoosiers and 710s are almost 11.x inches

Wouldn't a 265 front tire fit better on a 9.5" wheel than a 275 tire?
From the various websites for the tires looks like a 275 would fit better on a
10 inch wheel?
Any input on this??

IMO, i would go with the 9.5 and 10.5 combo. 27 front and 30 rear are just about perfect offsets to maximize the rubber. BTW 275's fit perfect on 9.5 wheels, thats what the new Vette runs in the front.
