how does the competition normally work? i've done HPDE's and such, just not this. i was looking at the times that people have posted in the street class, and it doesn't look like i should even bother. any tips/thoughts?

ah, as i was looking at the website, i thought it was just purely for competition. i didn't know that a common driver like me could just sign up and go at it. i don't have a turbo, i am NA and those times are very discouraging

It's not everyday that I can get out to the East Coast and compete and spend time with other Z enthusiests on THAT side of the country. Looking forward to making it out to VIR again for 2008, somehow....

oh yeah im gonna try to make it bigger and try to provide more sponsorships next time. alot of that was last minute and i had somewhat limited resources this year but it went well despite all that. this time i will try to get more organization and $ behind the meet
im also organizing the first national NAGTROC (GT-R owners club) meet there too.

Well, we can surely fix that.

I encourage, and am willing to help all track going Z and G drivers, because I believe in these cars and what we are capable of making them do out on the track. The more the marrier
scott they going to still allow FI in mod class are they going to be bumped up to unlimited??? I really want to run in the mod class this year, but without FI its not going to be to equal. I can run with the best of them but when it comes to the straights, my poor NA wouldn't stand a chance against a FI car. Using VIR as an example, I can clock maybe 135-140 on the back straight full course where a FI car should pull 160 all day. Just a thought, prolly going to enter in Modified anyhow.
btw: if you can't make it, no worries...i'd be happy to plant my *** behind the wheel of that Z
haha - if you need a co-driver on this coast let me know, however.

We are talking about the Redline Time Attack rules, right...... (cause I am)
here is a little example of HP not being everything. but this was on a short twisty course... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rcabxuIdnY with quite a few beginner drivers.
HP isn't everything on short twisty courses, and certainly not auto-x, but there's a lot of straights to go fast on at laguna and cal speedway. i should fare well in buttonwillow though...hmmm....
