Well it is in BS because that is where the other 350Z's are until they decide. If it actually proves to be faster in BS they will change that. But for now till the SEB says otherwise, BS is where they are recommending it to go.

Nothing is a done deal yet. However, if someone has data to show you could copy the seam welds it could help. To my knowledge only one time a "tuner" version of a car that was hard/impossible to reproduce due to something like the seam welds has been put in the same stock class as its lesser version, the Type R in GS 1998, and that sucked @ss for everyone in GS. It turned out ok in the long run, hell the Type R still wont go away, but at the time it hurt.
So here is the issue as I see it from my personal non-SEB view... Right now you have a couple of choices for 350Z that may be the hot version, 2003 Ent, 2005 Track and yet to be seen how fast it can go 2007 in various trims. If the Nismo is truly a faster car then if you want to win in a Z you have to have it. That is fine if you already have one, but if you don't you are looking for a one year car that you can not build out of a base or other option pkg car. So I have a hard time seeing how letting a one year only "hot" car that can not be copied will help participation.

That's the last involvement he has in the process; he does not participate in meetings or classing discussions. So while Doug is a great guy whose opinion we should respect, his opinion has no more bearing on classing decision than yours or mine.
Doug is in contact daily with the SEB. I asked him since he has been aware of the NISMO 350z for 4 months now. For now the car is BS until SEB says otherwise.

Alternately, you can admit you made an honest mistake by assuming that Doug has a say in car classing, rather than compounding your mistake by continuing to insist that he does when he does not.

I never said DOUG classed the cars himself. I said DOUG recommended it be in BS per the SEB for NOW until they decide where it goes.
It's okay, I am done here now. I trust what Doug says with SCCA not some know it all on this forum that obviously thinks he knows better than SCCA and what was talked about with the SEB for now. Per what I know, we will possibly know in the next release of the Fasttrack.

Hint: Andy Hollis is also on the SEB, and he also told you you're wrong: http://sccaforums.com/forums/permali...ad.aspx#257126.

I get it, though; you're selflessly volunteering yourself as a pinata so that we can entertain ourselves over the offseason. Thanks!
Edit: Typo fixes.

How is it a good thing, if the Nismo is faster, to obsolete every other 350Z in BS by allowing in the Nismo? Now the cost to run a Z in BS just went up for everyone in the class, except for the person that has one.

Andy races locally with me.
Again, you proved me right. I never said Doug classed the car himself. He recommended it per the SEB run in BS for now till they officially class it.

If Andy was part of it, then why would he say this:
PS: To be clear, Doug said run it *regionally* in BS for now until the SEB classes it.
Like I have been saying from the start. It is RECOMMENDED to run in BS until SEB classes it. And even Andy said this. And since you say Andy is part of SEB, then he should be listened to right and not yourselves. lol.
