At the time you "talked" to the other guy the Nismo was not even on the SEBs plate, he gave you his opinion. I can also tell you at the time the car was classed in BS the guy you talked to was no longer on the SEB.
It is simple, you send a letter to seb@scca.com, the SEB will reply in FasTrack, that is the only way things get done. I am not sure how to make the process any more clear to you.
btw, no supposedly about it, read the FT minutes and you will see my name on the board. One of us knows what they are talking about....

The way I read the SCCA Solo Rule Book is that if the NISMO version of the 350Z is on the same line as the normal 350Z, yhou can upgrade to NISMO 350Z parts and still be in B Stock. anyone else read it that wayh?

There is no update/backdate in stock class. If you want to build a 2007 or 2008 standard 350Z into a Nismo you have to do the complete package change, everything. So you will even have to do the extra welding.

I think Stock classifications have gotten a lot more aggressive in the year and a half since I wrote that, to the class' detriment.
