SCCA acts to resrict turbo cars in T-2
The March issue of fastrack is out and the CRB restricted all the turbo cars in Touring 2 so the 350Z now has a chance. We shall see how much of a chance at VIR on the 11, 12, 13 April for the Double National. There are still Two long straights where the turbo cars can get wound up and fly. Hines Group Motorsports will have the brickyard #4 out so if you are in the area come watch some good racing. Bob

Interesting that the Solstice GXPs get 39mm intake restrictors, while the other turbo cars (Sti, Evo) get 42.5mm restrictors. BTW- my GT3 tubeframe 350Z with SR20VE power has a 32mm single inlet restrictor (SIR) for use in National racing.

As usual from jmark- good pics! That Solstice GXP looks similar to the one that Knowles drove to the Runoffs victory last year. I don't recognize the name of the driver- new to T2 this year?
Interesting point about the cost of T2 racing. A Phoenix-prepped car like the one shown above is reputed to sell for more than $70K (no spares included)! I wonder what Phoenix will charge now that they'll have to retune the ECU for the intake restrictor...

^ Thanks! I should be at Road ATL & VIR covering the 350Z's progress in T2 this year. I know Greg Ira should be there in his E Prod 240Z as well. They just got a 70 # weight break there. So I expect to see him even more competitive. Some of the other E Prod cars like the Prelude & 1st Gen. RX7 (won the last 2 Runoffs) got weight added. Might need a letter from you to get a Photo pass at VIR.
