Preventative Maintenance for the track car...
I'd like to collect a list of all of the known failures or problems with a 350Z that spends a lot of time at the track. Maybe, divide the input into roadcourse versus autocross issues. I've heard of front hub failures on the 350Z but I've never seen pictures of the issue. I'm getting enough track days on the car where I'd like to be looking for known issues versus looking for the needle in the hay stack...hows this for a list starting with the obvious...
Roadcourse events...
1. Brake pads and rotors. (factory rears will go really fast)
2. Front hub failures (can anyone confirm with pictures?)
3. Wheels studs?
4. Power steering fluid over heating and spilling out of reservior...
5. If you run aftermarket brakes like me (STOPTECHS) when do you rebuild calipers? Every 40 events? etc...
6. Other?
7. Other?

Thanks for the information. That was very helpful. On the hub failures, how many folks have experienced this? And what are folks using for # of track days prior to making these proactive changes to prevent failures on the track? I'm trying to nail down some sort of frequency for changing out the hardware. Fluids is pretty straight forward.
