if you guys like BW and haven't been to Thunderhill before I'd suggest you go there at least once. i know it's far as hell for you so cal guys but trust me it's worth it.

i really want to do the norcal tracks
sear's point, thunderhill, reno fernley and laguna seca in that order but i will be moving in june and won't have the chance.
i might just try the ROVAL config before I leave. its the closest track to me andi i've got tons of track credit with SV.

Were you running in the White/Novice group? If so I think I ran into you once during one of the sessions.

Sounds like you have really been bitten by the bug hard!
The Cal Speedway configuration with the Roval is a must do if you are after a unique speed experience, and it is anything but boring. The infield course only is not appealing to me particularly, but some folks like it.
For the Norcal folks, especially anyone in the Sacramento area, the Reno-Fernley circuit is a really fun ride. Four miles long and 30+ turns, some serious elevation changes and compound turns with off camber and angled crests.....zowiee. This month's issue of Nissan Sport has an article on driving RenoFernley, and a video link too, so check it out.
Thunderhill is 90 miles north of Sacto off I-5....a splendid track, but as noted an endurance drag for the SoCal crowd to get there.
Buttonwillow, especially in Race#13 configuration, is a terrific driving/learning set up.
Laguna Seca is Mecca. The pilgrimage is a must. How can you be anywhere this side of Salt Lake City and not want to drive the Andretti Hairpin or the Corkscrew! Plus the ambiance of Monterey and Carmel afterwards.
Sears Point is excellent, but a lot of walls. More bent sheet metal and broken spindles than any where else out here in the West. Probably a better place to visit after you have a few lessons under your belt if you plan to drive home in the same car.
