Theres been some talks in other threads about this event. Who here is going and on which days? For the most part, saturday is sold out and sunday is getting there. there's still spots for friday which would be a CCW direction.

I'm gonna be there, blue 350Z with race number 5 on my door. I will be easy to identify by my 2 cavalier king charles spaniels that make perfect track dogs. I'm running Friday and Sunday. leaving saturday open for others to register.

Yup, I'm going to be there Sun. Taking my S2K buddy as he is a track virgin and it will be his first time. I'll have a 890 on my car.

rx8club is sending about 10 rx8s on saturday. im all packed and ready to go, leaving tomorrow morning to get an alignment then off to buttonwillow. cya there peeps.

 

i wish i could've gone! my wife is so close to her due date that i'm pretty much on lockdown for the next few MONTHS

buttonwillow is a scary track! what's even more scary is shinkuu's driving. dude, you're fast!

yeah i bought the cd. first time on a road course with my Z so had to do it once. i was so damn tired driving back up to the bay area. had to pull over and sleep for awhile at a rest stop.

yup drove back to SD then dropped off my friend in Chula Vista. unfortunately, he rolled his car on saturday. my gf was so nice because she beat all the RX-8 boys in a stock RX-8 with sway bars and 245 size azenis tires.

 

ah, so you knew the guy in the rx7. hopefully he's just sore and nothing long term.

i think your gf passed me in the last session of the day. i didn't see a black rx8 in the blue group until that last session. she's quick in an almost stock car on street tires.

what times were you running on sunday with your z? i think i saw your blue z parked there with the RPF1's? fat 275's in the front i was surprised they don't rub. my fastest lap was 2:20.5. i think i still have a little time to pick up but i felt pretty close to my limit on most of the turns.

 

shinkuu, i hope your friend is ok. i saw the rolled car out back behind one of the buildings and it looked really bad.

julian, the bay area is about a 3-4 hour drive from BW depending on what part you live in. obviously we have closer tracks like Infineon or Laguna Seca but those tracks are pretty limited in available dates and are much more expensive. so i have to "settle" for tracks that are further away. what group did you run in? were you the white Z in the white group? my best time of the day was a 2:25.

 

i think you were addressing dampy's question. she has the white z.

 

my friend is ok. just had lunch with him and went looking for his next project car to roll. j/k

yea that was my Z on 275s. i had 275s before on 17x9+27 no rubbing issues. the enkeis are 17x9.5+18 and no rubbing. the car has a bit of oversteer, fun to drive but harder for me to put down fast laps. my fastest was during the first session. i got a 2:12.3xx and after that i was in the 13, 14, and 15 second ranges.

did u talk to rob, the other purple miata with the hard top? i think i saw u guys talking but i didn't put it together that u were from this site. hope to see u at streets. it will be my last track event.

 

don't feel too bad. i'm the one who has to settle for a track if i want to stay closer to SD. calispeedway is the closest and quite expensive and heard its not all that fun of a track. BW is my favorite track that i've ran at. i hear infineon is the best track in the west but i won't get a chance to drive that track yet.

 

yeah, i was the white z in the noob group. julian, were you #11? i think i have some pictures of you. i'll upload them soon.
