Default Snell Helmet but no Sticker

So, I got dinged today at the auto-x event and they did not let me use my helmet because it did not have a snell rating on it.

The Helmet is an HJC CS12.
I went and looked it up online and it says it is Snell-m2000 approved.

I'd like to use this tomorrow at the event but I need a way to back it up. How should I do it?

Never heard of a Snell helmet without a sticker. Next to impossible to fall off.

Yep, I have a feeling there is missleading info on the internet and that I just need to get a new helmet.

Without the sticker in the helmet, there's no way to really determine if it is the kind of helmet you claim it is -- or a cheap knock-off.

Snell-certified helmets will *always* have a sticker inside the helmet -- you sometimes just have to dig for it.

I hate to tell you this but you bought a motorcycle helmet which usually sell cheaper as they dont pay the Snell fee for the inspection and sticker. If its new, take it back and get upgraded. It happens all the time with new drivers who come to scca.

Your right, I made the mistake and wish I had someone to help me with it before. But even then I had SOLO2 friends help me with the purchase and I still got the wrong one. I didn't pay more than $100 for the helmet so, at the end of the day it's not a major loss.

Hopefully this thread can help prevent others from making the same mistake.

they have some KILLER deals on helmets. Typically any helmet comes with a sock, bag and free shipping.
