Default Wheel Offset Check...

I'm looking at getting a set of rims for my autocross events and I need help with my offsets. I'm going to have the same size rims at all 4 corners to make it easier and cheaper to buy tires.

I'm looking at two sets of wheels. The first set as the following size:

Front + Rear: 17x8 with an offset of 22.

And the second set is:

Front + Rear: 17x8 with an offset of 28.

Now as for tires, I'm leaning toward a set of BFG R1's or a set of Nitto NT-01's unless someone can convince me otherwise.

Tire size is 275/40/17 for both brands and the front + rear.

I'm not looking to roll my fenders or any other modification to ensure fitment.

Basically, will each wheel + tire combo fit on my car without any problems?
The car is not lowered, but I do plan on getting a Tein Flex w/ EDFC within the next 6 months. Thanks for any help. Also, I currently run 18's with a 32 offset in the front and a 35 offset in the rear. 275/35/18 in the front and 295/35/18 in the rear.

are you putting it on a subaru?

a 46 does not work. at all. like, never. go with the +22. they will still be tucked but will look better.

These are going on my 350Z. Ya, I wasn't too sure about the 46 offset, but I found the same wheel but with an offset of 28. So with a 275/40 tire, will it clear the fenders? I like look of the wheels that have the offset of 28 better, so I think I'll go with those as long as everything is ok.

Now all I have to do is decide on tires...

Both are similar to the 17 inch OEM wheel. There is only a 6 mm difference.

Are you sure you want to run a 275 mm on a 8 inch wheel?

17x9 +27 will clear 275's up front no problem with you car lowered or stock height.

Why not? I run a 275 on an 8.5" and 295 on a 9.5". What would be the problem with running a 275 on an 8" wheel? I know it will buldge a little bit.

Not really, there are a lot of people running 275s on 8" wheels for autocross. Hoosiers and Kumhos work quite well.

are you trying to run in BS? If not, then it's better to go w/ a rim width that matchs the tire you're going to run...ppl sqeeze on wide tires onto narrow rims b/c in stock classes they're limited to OE sizes rims...

I'm running Enkei RPF1 18 x 10s with a +38mm offset. I needed longer wheel studs and 1/2" spacers in front, but they fit with 285/30-18s on them.

I run 17x10 ET25 with 275-40 RA-1s all around, I run a 3MM spacer in front to give a little more clearance between the wheel and the suspension upright...without it I can not slide my little finger between the wheel and the upright, and just barley can with the spacer..otherwise all is fine.
