Any thoughts on running TC Kline Konis with Nismo T2 springs on an autox application? is it possible to corner balance them (since the TC Klines have ride height adjustment).

That would put you into what, STU? Hmm, I wonder how the spring rates compare to what I have on my Phase 4s (hypercoil? crap I gotta look up what Brian said they were)

Edit: 500lb front springs, 425lb rear - what are the T2 rates?

T2's are 690 all around. You cant run a Z in any of the Street Touring classes...it only has 2 seats and all of the touring classes are "a minimum of 4 seats" and "non-sports cars or sports based cars." The Z is a two seat sports car and STS2 has a maximum engine displacement of 1.9 liters. I'd be in B-Street Prepared after swapping back to 3.54 gears (i'm running 4.08's right now in a Street Tire Modified class but an Elise just dropped to my class and beat me by a solid half second and I gave it all I had: 43.029 41.448 41.457 41.235 41.135 41.136 to the Elises 40.597)

Yeouch darn those buzzly little "toyotas" :P

I'm no expert when it comes to springs but it would seem to me that that setup might work well - stiffer rear might be easier to rotate the car (I know I use a stiffer setting on my 350EVO sways when I autox).

eh rotating the car is no problem right now having a non-staggered setup and hotchkis sways. I just need more grip so i'll probably move back to BSP with my stock gears next season, and with BSP will come slicks (275/40-17 front 315/35- rear NT01's more than likely). the extra grip will necessitate something a little firmer than OEM dampers/springs.

yeah I'm non staggered too (275/40/18 street tires, 265/35 or 275/35 track tires). 315's a LOT of tire to get heat into at an autox, are you boosted? Even when I was TT'd it took about half a run to really get any stick back there....

yeah, but I have heard several guys who do run 305/315's out back say they have no problem getting heat into them. but its pretty hot down here during the summer so it definately wont be a problem most of the time. if all else fails i'll get a pair of used tire warmers cause I really need more grip out back as the lot we run in half the year down here is REALLY slick, even the guys with R-comps complain about lack of grip.

yeah good point you're in TN

we have a few lots up here that I swear have more pea-gravel than asphalt - I feel your pain there. Honestly though, as much as I should (cuz it's great car-control exercise) I never really got bitten by the autox bug. Probably being stuck in EMod and XP for a while didn't help my enthusiasm LOL... between my former GT1S Porsche 951 and the TT kit on the Z w/ interior mods to accommodate the cage, I've yet to own something that fit into an autox class well (except my um, DSP? e30 325is but I had CRAP tires and no budget for new wheels/tires for it).

What kind of mods are you running in your STM class? Alignment?
