That's a great suggestion. Trying to get one tire to do race and daily activities just means you'll never be satisfied.

I think I have made a decision. I know that a second set of wheels would be a good idea but I can’t swing the 800 right now. To run a set of Dunlop Dirreza Z1 star specs 275/35/18 will cast $235 per tire at tire rack, (but I can get them at cost if I continue to run sponsor names on my car at autocross events)…either way I get out of college soon and will be able to afford it but for now it is not in the cards for me. For now I think that will be a good compromise as they are only 200 per set more than running a set of 225/40/17 RE01R’S.

Unless anyone else can recommend something cheaper I am choosing 275/35/18 Z1 star specs. Tire rack chose them number 1 in a recent test.

I wouldn't consider those tires a compromise, I would think of them as one of the best street tires period at an awesome price...
