Default Tranny fluid for the track

Hey guys. Is it necessary to change out the factory transmission fluid for something like redline or royal purple on these cars when taking them to the track? I only have 2,000 miles right now if that matters.

Not really, but a good synthetic like amsoil GL4 is nice. I would do it anyhow, since your tranny is broken in now.

I've got about 4,000 track miles on my 350Z and I use the factory Nissan trans fluild and have changed it twice.

I have 64,000 miles and haven't changed mine. Is it pretty simple to do? Where do you fill it from?

I track my car regularly(usually once a month when economy was good)
i have one of the few auto trans Z's that runs the car on the track and
i use the royal purple trans fluid-stock fluid was getting too hot and not
allowing it to shift properly-once i got the fluid it improved dramatically.
I still may get a trans cooler later.
