Watching Road America race...

 

Bump for this weekend's race airing at 3pm EST on Speed TV.

19 vehicles total will be racing this weekend due to the exclusion of the GT3-challenge class.

There should be considerable drama in the race as the LMP2 and GT class championships can be wrapped up by the Acura/Lowes and Flying Lizard Porsche teams.






If you were lucky enough to catch the previous race you would have seen the outstanding showing from the BMW team with Bill Auberlen from my hometown of Redondo Beach, CA Expect to see much of the same if they can dial-in their setups.

I went to the ALMS race at Mid-Ohio(Acura Sports Car Challenge) in August. It was my first time at one of these types of races and it was a blast! Anyone else here at the Mid-Ohio race?

 

I went to Mosport this past weekend, just for the Saturday events. Wow, the first time I've seen this series and I couldn't believe how easily the LMP cars were passing the GT cars. Awesome. Mosport is an extremely quick track as well. A lot of high speed corners. It was tough to see the hometown Ferrari car smash in practice, but still managed 2nd in the race. Very impressed with all the cars there. The Ferrari sounded amazing, so did the Porsches, BMWs, but I wasn't a big fan of the Corvette sound. Ofcourse the LMP cars sounded awesome with those turbos. Definitely attend the race next year
