We are racing our 350Z SCCA T2 car at VIR next weekend. The car is a brickyard color with yellow decals and #4.

Gregs new paint job looks really great.

We are thinking about arriving about 6 thursday, at least thats the plan. The car is ready to go and should be even faster with all the weight we took out. Gotta love the new rules. I just hope they really did even things up and we have a chance to run with the turbos. You have a bed, so dont worry. Bob

Y'all running full course?

 

This is a SCCA Double National which means there are two races for all the classes that run National Road Racing. We always run the long course. Practice and qualifying are pretty much on Friday with races on Saturday and Sunday. T2 is the second group out of 6 I think. There is also a Trans-Am race at the end of the day on Sunday and that will be pretty wild. I am pretty sure they have over 20 entires so far. A few of the teams are very professional.

 

I'll be there on Sunday, looks like a great event...let me know if anyone needs a hand in the paddock.

 

Bob I keep hearing that the track is in great condition and has picked up several seconds a lap. I haven't been on VIR yet this year so I have no idea. Either way, I am sure Rob will do great!

 

It's a lot faster.

We were kind of unfortunate that the first time I went out we were THE first group to get on the track since the grinding, but Last weekend we had a great time and a few cars Including a T1 Vette and a GT2 car broke the track records, unofficially of course.

 

What's the T2 field look like?

I'll be up there hanging out Saturday afternoon and most of the day on Sunday... got my Asphalt Ventures stickers on a particularly fast Trans-Am car ... so Mark and Bill... I'm trusting you guys to snap some nice pics of some of those T-A monsters.

Problem is, the car is so fast, and my stickers will be SO small, that no one will see them unless looking at the car in the paddock Oh well... hopefully the in-car vids will make up for it

Not sure about that, could be ... It's Matt Moorefield's car, driven by Mike Skeen. They finished 2nd at Road-Atlanta after starting at the back of the pack due to a wheel malfunction during quali.
