Changes to come: (Please comment)
Brakes will be replaced by Brembo F/R (already bought waiting to be installed).
Pads will be Carbotech XP10's
Might set rear sway to full stiff
Rotors will be slotted
Gonna order a better gripping Shift **** (i like my Nismo Titanium, but not enough grip for me)
Might just run the wastegate PSI so i can concentrate more on my technique, The speed is there but the seat time isn't.

I'd change the front camber and go at least -2.5, than remove the full stiff...
I know, the body roll is ugly but with "street" tires you're loosing grip in that way and the car is less forgiving.. (and you have "some" juice).
that both in the shocks and in the sway bars.

rotors better be blank... centric premium are cheap and works really good.
pads... you got brembo! why don't use ferodo ds2.11 or 3000...

Brakes: I'd look into the Stoptech ST-40 front calipers w/14" rotors and the ST-22 caliper rear. The OEM brembo's have limits. The ST-40's you can get for $1995 for the fronts and you would be hard pressed to find the limits of the Stoptechs.

Pads: I have had great success with the new Hawk DTC-70 pads. They are really unbelievable. The yare available for both the Stoptechs and the OEM Brembo's.

Rotors: If you get the StopTech brakes they come with their 2 piece Aerorotoors which are really good rotors. if you go wit hthe OEM brembo's yo u can still buy the 2 piece Aerorotors for them.

Tires: I feel the best semi slick out there now is the Toyo R888. another great product.

Camber: With a sticky semi slick I would go with -2.5 in the frotn and -2.0 in the rear to start. You might like to add more. I run -3.0F and -2.5R.

Don't forget a good set of dampers!

I looked into the Stoptechs, but i got a GREAT deal on the Brembos.. COULDNT pass them up.. Maybe later down the line i'll look into stoptech when im ready. But for now the Brembos are a god send compared to OEM's..lol..

I plan on going to a sticky tire like the 888 later on this year. Gonna get a set of Enkie RPF-1's in 17inch all the way around.

I would go with 18's. I'm not a fan of 17's. They feel sloppy to me with the taller sidewall. Just something to consider.

It's addicting...isn't it. You will be fine with OEM Brembos and some good pads, lines, and fluid. Shed some weight from your car, if you can get away with it. Report back on those XP10's. you are going to love them.

Hey Jet, Hawk DT-70's? They only thing I use those for, is to resurface/refinish my rotors if I pick up a few hot spots.

May I ask why are you running such low tire pressures(32psi)? I set mine at 40 up front and about 36 out back (hot pressures). This will give a little more cornering grip up front to help with the car's natural understeer. But you do have a lot of suspension mods so maybe I'm missing something. I'm obviously not an expert, not even close, but I'm curious. Higher tires pressure should result in better cornering grip.

I have run about 26 track days and have to say the carbotechs are the best pad. I run XP12 in front, XP10 in rear. I also run -3.0 camber in front, -2.5 in rear. Car is on rails. I have heard the R888s are slower than the RA1, never used them. I am going to be using NT01s now because I have a hookup on them. Once I learn the new motor, I am making the jump to hoosiers!

Agreed! I luv the Carbotech Pads...I run the XP12 (Front) and XP10 (Rear) for Time Trials, and XP10 (F & R) for HPDE

I plan on running XP10's in the Front and XP8's in the rear at Mid-Ohio this year on stock non-brembo brakes and RE-11's.

We'll see how well they'll handle for me! I know carbotech recommend's skimming the rotors, but do you guys think it's a must? I read somewhere that moving to a more aggressive pad will just take all the old material off by itself.

So maybe I'll just throw the new pads on and see if there's any vibrations

Me three. It's a pretty magical pad. In a blind test drive, i would swear I was running a BBK. The bite, control, and fade resistance is impressive. Best pad I have used yet.

Have you used the DT-70's? What did you find wrong with them? I find them superior to anything I have ever used. I however never used the Carbotechs so I can't make a comparison.

CARBOTECH STROBGLY RECOMMENDS RESURFACING THE ROTORS...or use new ones..I would take their advice ( I do and have NO problems - with brakes )

Well, hook the rest of us on the NT01's. I think they are great, but I am going thru them like candy!

Yes I have. They are a good compound, but abrasive as hell on rotors. There are better compounds, that offer just as much friction, but far gentler on rotors.

I made this comment, somewhat tongue and cheek. If you run the DT70's on the street for an hour, your car will double as a mobile brake lathe.

I didn't resurface mine...two different sets of rotors, and 3 sets of Carbotechs along the way. With the XP12's I had a few smears here and there...nothing major at all. With the XP16's, looked like a very good bedin and mating process.
This is with the GT-R.

What has your experience been with them?
