Default Clicking FRONT wheel hubs??

Guys i've got a strange problem with front wheel hub area? Mod's ive posted this here as i track the car and ive not heard of this problem on the car before and would like input from people who track the car.

Ill list the cars parts to start with.

9.5 et30 rota P45R
245/40/18 falkens
KW V3 coilovers.
Stoptech two piece brake rotor's.
5zigen lightweight extended wheel nuts.

The sound is a loud fast ticking sound.

Im NOT able to replicate the noise with the car jacked up by spinning the wheels. The noise happens when the car is under load ONLY when cornering hard, Or somtime's at full lock at low speeds. There is no sign of any contact on the tire or rim and nothing showing on the brake caliper?

Ive checked over all the bolts on the suspension/brakes and torqued the wheel nuts to 85ft/lb.

The car went into my local nissan dealer for a service and i asked them to check around the bushes and have a general look but they found nothing that was wrong??

There is no play in the wheel bearing and no noise when car is moving in a straight line.

Guys i need help ask i don't have any idea what could cause this??

If you have any idea please chime in??

I park 4th floor in a parking garage daily and I have noticed this occasionally as well low speeds around the tight corners, sounds like the clicking when the cv joints on my old passat would need a repack. I am wondering the same subscribing, good luck!

have you checked to see if there is any play in the wheel bearings?

jack the front up, grab the top and bottom of the rim and see if it shifts up or down.

Also, how do your front bushings look?

The wheel bearings do not seam to have any play in them. Also every wheel bearing that has gone on my cars before always make a noise when driving all the time??

This is just under hard cornering??

Put the car in the air, and grab a long pry bar. Gently pry away at your suspension links and arms, and observe any movement. The lower control arm bushing is highly prone to failure, and can be hard to detect.

Also check your upper control arms bushings for play, looseness.

Thanks for the reply Sharif. If the bushing has gone would that be able to cause the clicking/ticking sound im hearing?? Im looking into cusco up A arms as that rules out another upper front bush and may be adding a 10 hubcentric spacer on the front to see if that helps?

Ive had a go at the bushings using sharif's pry bar method and there in no play as far as i can see?? all the bushings i can see look in good condition.

Im still thinking it sounds like its coming from the wheel nuts but i have no way to make the noise while the car is up on the jack to see where its coming from!!!

The problem is on the wheel, tire, or hub if its rhythmic and increases with speed.

1. Check the little plastic shield behind the hub center.
2. Inspect the wheel speed sensor and wire.
3. Make sure the brake lines are not hitting the wheel or tire.
4. Check your wheel weights to see if they are hitting the ball joint or tie rod.
5. Look at the upper part of the upright to see if the tire is rubbing against it.

Any chance the tie rods could somehow be the culprit, considering the conditions in which the noises occur?

!!!!!!!! Finally Fix the dam clicking!!!!

After doing all the things people had suggested i ordered some basic steel lug nuts form driftworks.com i have replaced the alu lightweight nut and the clicking has stopped!!!

I have a question for the venders on here, If you take two lug nuts and put the flat tappered parts together they can rock which looks like the tapper has not been machine correctly??

I think the noise is due to the lug only touching may be 1mm on the wheel tapper and moving around under hard load??

Ive had the lugs for not far off 1 year now but do you guys think i could clame my money back for a manufacturing defect??

Thanks for the help guys!

I'm never going to run AL lugnuts just because its such an important part to make out of a soft metal...not worth the risk to me. Further, they were at the wrong angle for the wheels apparently. I doubt its worth whining over though.
