Def good luck. Why you running Kumhos instead of Hoosiers? I found Hoosiers offer more grip and if you win you get two tires
Because I have never been on R-comps, was told the Kumho's would last a lot longer then the Hoosiers and I was told I wouldn't be able to "compete" with the likes of Heitkotter, etc. Now that I know that I can compete and possibly beat, I'll be running Hoosiers.
I won't be at any other big events the rest of the season so I'll just use the tires up between now and next year's big events. And I'll be co-driving Glenn's car at Nats this year, so I don't have to worry about tires.

The tire difference isn't as great as you think. Ruff_Z ran a faster run than I did on Saturday, but he tipped a cone.
You can't simply change tires without making changes to the suspension. The tires have slightly different characteristics which means that you need to adjust compression and rebound to optimize the tires' strengths and work around the tires' weaknesses.
In my opinion, HPT exaggerated tire choice. Hoosier worked better there because the surface really wasn't terribly "grippy." However, this year we're going to be running at Lincoln, which is a completely different surface. Those who have run there before or who can quickly determine the optimal car setup.
BTW, I'm running Kumhos regionally since they last longer. The Hoosiers are really for "big" events.

I find it cool that Liam is running his Nismo stock except for the front bar and it is very competitive with cars running aftermarket shocks etc. Says alot for the work the Nismo engineers did and Liam's driving. Right out of the box it is competitive in BS.
With SCCA? Will be doing the SCCA NE Divisionals in August. Then MAYBE heading out to nationals in Sept.
Track Day on July 20, another track day August 28 and a few local auto-x in between. I pretty much do some sort of local event every weekend.
When and where are the NE divisionals? Are you going Liam?
