Hi all,

Wanted you all to know about the Redline Time Attack event at CMP on the weekend of August 8th and 9th. Saturday is an open track day with driving instruction available. All are welcome to attend.

Sunday is the Redline Time Attack day. We've added a new stock class this year for mildly modified cars. For those who are not familiar with RTA, the time attack day is a time trail event. Broken up into several classes and divisions. We have a class for just about any car and driver.

Car Show on Saturday and After Party at the track on Saturday night.
Hope to see some of you back at the track!

I will actually be there on Friday doing some testing on my own with Turn1 Events. But the main event is Sat/Sun.

I guess they keep reinventing themselves. As long as there is a good bikini contest, the event should be strong.

Did a 1:40.9 for 2nd place in Modified class overall.

Thanks. It was 95F, and the car felt like a dog. It would be interesting to see what the car would have done in the fall or spring.

 

i was there in june... so i know how hot it gets ! anyway, gt-r is not the smallest thing out there, yet you are driving the **** out of it ! i wonder if you would do better in that 370tt

 

We'll find out soon enough! The 370Z should be ready for track testing in late October.

Just put up the vid from the time laps at CMP. This was the second session, and everyone ran about 1/2 to 1 second slower.

What were your top speeds?

Looking at my buzz killing Traqmate data, I saw a top speed of 136mph. i think it read 147mph on the dash.

It's amazing how inaccurate the speedo is, at high speeds and with smaller wheels and tire diameters.

I am curious what top speed you hit, and were you braking at the kink, or just lifting.

 

Braking a good amount, from 140-145 down to under 120 for the kink. Rado was doing 150!!!

 

More downforce for next year...LOL.

What are your overall impressions of CMP. Was it your first time there? Running a 1:30 is just retarded...good work!
