Default HPDE at CMP Nov. 1 and 2?

How many think they might come down South to the TZC HPDE at CMP?

For once I'd like to see the Z's out number the BMW's.
(at least in the paddock)

Default Entries needed...

Hey guys & gals - if you are interested in joining us Nov 1-2, please don't wait til the last minute to get your entries in.

We are extending the member rate to all Z drivers ($235).

Go to TZC Track Events to download the entry form and the medical form. If you're bringing a 350z, we'll even make the tech process easy for you by only requiring a good-faith check using our technical form. That means that unless your car is heavily modified already, we will not require the full yearly technical inspection - so long as you pass the check-in grid tech. Please do yourself a favor and check your car out using our tech form - fill it out, then bring it to the event.

You will still need a Snell rated M95 or SA95 (or newer) helmet.

Carolina Motorsports Park is located in Kershaw, SC and is an extremely fun and very challenging track. The designer of this track also designed the Mid-America Motorplex and the new Barber Motorsports Park. You get everything with this track: long straights, fast flowing corners, and tight technical corners.

Those of you a little farther north, this is the perfect oportunity to extend the warm season for at least another weekend.

Please email me if you have any questions: zstackgo@hotmail.com or trackevents@***.net

For all those who came to Roebling in Savanna, please let everyone know how much fun it is.

've had a couple of emails asking the same thing, so I will post the answer here.

You DO NOT need a rollbar or special safety equipment for the school, only the Time trial.

For the school you only need a m95/SA95 Helmet and your car needs to pass a simple safetly inspection (see the form on the Website).

I hope this helps
Marty

Default Re: Rollbars

Marty is right - for the Driver's Ed school you do not need a roll bar with one big exception... convertibles

Any convertible must have an SCCA approved 4-point roll bar (none of those AutoPower 'show' bars). Also, the car must pass the broom-stick test - where if the driver is seated with helmet on, he/she must fit under a broomstick placed at the top of the windshield to the top of the roll bar. Most factory roll-hoops will not meet those requirements.

Other open-top cars are usually OK - T-tops and sunroofs generally are removed unless sctructurally attached (like a Corvette or Supra A-roof...these we prefer be left in anyway). We will usually leave that decision to the instructor riding in the car - they are responsible for the grid tech before the car is allowed on track.

We're finalizing our full technical spec document now and should have it published on www.triangleZclub.com soon.

Picking up the Rollbar tonight. I won't have it ready by tomorrow though, bummer.

We still have a couple of spots if someone wants to come at the last minute. Just shoot me an email or go to
