So, I have to ask: Have you strapped her to the engine dyno yet?

Inclined to share the details?

Also, any details on the first engine failure?

Scott asked me to respond to some of you comments.

We have run the engine on the engine dyno the dyno has been carefully correlated to match the dyno at the NASCAR technical center NASCAR is where we are required to run the engine for submission for Grand-Am approval.

471hp @ 8600
335 lbft @ 6900
Corrected to SAE J1349

The "first" engine failure was caused by the oil pump pressure relief valve spring failing and the resultant drop in oil pressure to just below critical levels.

We chose to base this project on the DE engine as it is an evolution of previous development done on the car and engine package. The cylinder heads, headers and intake were already previously invested.

Very impressive results! This would likely be close to 400whp. I am looking forward to seeing the car in action at the Autoclub Speedway in Nov.
