Default aero help!

OK I have been in these forums for a long time and have searched and looked and searched some more.
I NEED a front splitter and a wing/spoiler for my car. The racing I do is open road racing at speeds up to 140 for extended amounts of time.
Last year at the BBORR my Z felt great anywhere up to 125mph...this past april going up three classes..as soon as I went over 130mph the car started feeling REAL light..like white knuckle light...

Does ANYONE have any advice on a front splitter or complete bumper and a rear wing / spoiler combo that has real experience or knows it has been wind tunnel tested? I sure as heck don't want stuff flying off my car at speeds where the center dotted line appears almost solid.

first..my car at 140mph..notice the distortion in the bumper..i have already replaced the front right fender liner but this burned off 1.5" off the bumper..

secondly..I REALLY like this bumper..anyone have ANY racing experience with it?

Lastly..a short vid for you..

Thanks for any comments / suggestions..

the white bumper is the nismo v3.. but looks like someone added nismo v2 canards to it..

MCR racing in japan, who mostly do circuit racing, has canards specifically for the V3 nismo front end.

the nismo front bumper is wind tunnel tested, along with Cwest and Voltex body kits.

M-Workz and lot of the japanese super taikyu racers are using the Cwest long lody and the INGS +1 long body, along with a low drag wing.

Look into getting a 1700mm rear Voltex Type 2 wing (single element) with a high base to get it into the airstream. (the Voltex wing is wind tunnel tested)

Anything from Top Secret, JUN, and Veilside are I know for sure. I love the Amuse front bumper but not sure if it is.

i know most of the pics in this thread are red x's now, but you can ask this guy about what he did for aero. he actually does door to door racing and claims (not that i'm doubting him) his parts produce real downforce

I would say go with a Nismo V3 kit or knock off. It is race tested in Japan. It has also been run in GA Cup.

I can't say enough good things about the aero parts from Fulcrum. With their splitter and wing and the Moton shocks I installed for the 2009 season I have picked up 3-5 seconds per lap at every track I've been to this year. Fully adjustable and very tough. The splitter has survived at least 5 off track incidents and all I've replaced is two rivets so far. There are very few cars that out corner or out brake me at the track, HP is my biggest disadvantage.

Since you're in Austin you really should stop by SPL and check it out. These are race quality parts and although not cheap, they are worth the money and I am extremely happy with the results. I have recorded over 1.8 cornering G's with the DL1 datalogger that would never have been possible without aero.

Yeah I'm glad you posted here..there was a reference to your aero post but no pics..I'd like to see your car in person and check it out...
as far as SPL is concerned..everytime I call its like its a bother for them to answer any questions...I would think they'd be a heckof a lot more talkative in this economy! Maybe its just me...shoot me a PM with your number and I'll give you a shout and come check out your ride!
thanks
Tom

The 350Z setup will be available very soon.

Cannot say enough good things about this setup.
Fully active aero at a reasonable price,or just run the static wing to comply w/ your racing series.

Wing form is designed to produce 800+lbs of downforce at 180mph.
Uses 3 inertia sensors and vehicle speed to calculate wing position: speed, maneuvering, braking. The speed setting is your lowest downforce, least drag setup. Maneuvering is as it implies for anytime the vehicle in under the speed threshold setting or if the car experiences 0.3g of lateral loading. Braking is a full downforce position used to stabilize the car under 0.3g of more of deceleration.

The setup we ran for One Lap was to have the wing drop from its maneuvering angle at 90mph to a zero drag/zero downforce setting. Noticeable difference in straightline speeds.

Adjustments take seconds rather then minutes. Plus w/ the in cabin control you make adjustments at speed. Feels a little loose? Add a couple more deg of attack to settle the rear. Want less drag, couple of clicks. Viola'.

On the dyno, wing is still active. It is switching between the maneuvering and speed positions.

PM me for pricing and exact lead time on the 350Z application.

The S2 wing is 7,500
The R2 which is what I run is ~3,500.
Static R2 wing ~1,700
