Default Lots of oversteer

Right now got my dampners on full stiff up front and half on rears. What kind of setup would yield the greatest grip in a turn. All I have is coilovers.

Great chart.

When do you experience the oversteer?

At turn in with little to no throttle
With partial throttle
on full throttle
with trail braking

Well its an uphill turn. Going into the turn beginning to brake the car loses it. Never has it done this as bad as recently. Ive lowered the ride height and stiffened the front more. So thats why im thinking its my dampner settings. Does the dampner need to change with the ride height? To maintain the handling?

what it sounds like is you are experiencing trail brake over steer. It's not so much the set up as the weight transfer. On the stock suspension there is a lot of play to allow the absorption of the weight shift to the front and the rear going light just at the moment of turn in. With the stiffer setup you have now the chassis is reacting more directly. In many situations you can use trail braking to your advantage to rotate the car better in a tight corner. I am also guessing that if it’s just one corner then it’s probably either going off camber, or it levels out or crests at the point the over steer happens.

Before I would make any changes I would see how the car re-acts in a neutral camber/non elevation corner where you are slowly accelerating from just before turn in to corner exit. This will tell you how neutral the car is set up. If the car is neutral, then it’s behavior can be modified by driver technique.
