Hard to believe we have been doing this for ten years, but come on out and join us to celebrate our big anniversary. TZC and THSCC will be kicking off the 2010 season in just a few weeks at VIR-F with the John Mullis Memorial HPDE and Performance Chassis Time Trial Series. We have open spots available in all run groups so it's not to late to register! We have our fingers crossed for a repeat of the great weather we had at last years event so sign up now and come out and enjoy it with us Saturday Feb 6 - Sunday Feb 7.

Who else is planning to be there?

 

Not me unfortunately - its getting close, but my car will not be ready by then.
My expectation is that it will be a great event.

 

I'll be there racing bikes in March. Don't drip any $hit on the north course!

 

as long as you guys clean up all the leather and blood streaks for our event in April.

 

LOL I'll see what I can do. VIR is a top notch facility and the suites in the North paddock are awesome.

Race on snow tires? LOL....I heard they got about a foot down there today (not that any of it will be there next week).

 

Might have to leave the summer tires at home....weather.com is calling for more freezing rain/snow NEXT weekend.....

Marty and Stacy better start doing that good-weather dance....

I really hope the February Weather Clause doesn't have to be invoked.

 

Just an FYI.

We are going to meet Wednesday and look at the 5 day forcast. We have a weather clause in the contract so if we need to cancel we can offer either refunds or credit to another event.

No kidding...I am so ready to get back out. and I REALLY need to get some testing/refreshing in before my first race.

 

For those who haven't heard, We have been in contact with the VIR track management team relative to the weather situation at the track for this weekend. VIR have advised us that the track, paddock and run-off areas are predicted to be UNsuitable for our HPDE and Time Trial this weekend. So… we are disappointed to advise you that our event this weekend has been CANCELLED!!



What happens next:

First, if you have room reservations at VIR or the Sleep Inn in Danville for this weekend, you should call immediately to cancel. They have assured us that there will be no hassle.

Your entry for the TZC/THSCC February 6/7 VIR event will be canceled automatically by TZC/THSCC staff ... we do not anticipate rescheduling this event for a future alternate date (but you never know what might happen!)
Your full entry fee will be entered as a Credit on your MotorsportReg.com account. This credit will be good for one year (including our FIRST event in early 2011.) It can be used for any TZC/THSCC event within that period... REGISTER for your next event as normal, you will see the credit available as a form of payment when you get to the payment screen.

Our two other events will be at Carolina Motorsports Park June 18-20 and October 16-17 ... registration will open for those events by March 31st.

If you cannot make one of the other events, you can request a refund by sending an email to swesterfield@nc.rr.com with the subject title: VIR February Refund. There will be a 5% processing fee for all refunds.

Remember... you must register as normal for your next event... your entry will not automatically roll over (this is to avoid over-booking the event, and to maintain unique vehicle numbers for the event.)



Guess we will all have time to work on the car this weekend! Don’t forget… we will require a 2010 tech inspection before that event (if you didn’t already get one for February.)

Probably for the best....it is going to be near impossible for anyone from just north of there to get down.....forecast is for close to 30" near my house in NW MD. Good luck with the future event.
