Default 370Z This Year

There is a young guy in Nashville who has been autocrossing for about 3 years. He's been in a 350Z, a Sentra and now a 370Z. His times last weekend in that 370Z were pretty good. I was impressed with the 370s acceleration and cornering even on street tires, probably Bridgestone 050s. I would have liked to tried it out.

I see Al ran his at Dixie Tour but are there any others who plan to run Tours?

BTW, I'm keeping the 350Z as a daily driver and bought an 07 Miata for STR. It is a hoot to drive but I miss the power. I just couldn't justify using the 350Z for STR with the 255 tire size limitation.

ya the 255 tire limitation killed any hope for the z in str. the weight of the car compared to the s2k or miata means those will be the cars to have
i would have liked to build the z to str specs, but it wouldn't be competitive nationally

Watching Learic at Nationals just nick a cone each day on her fast runs -- the 370Z is fast.

So, are you going to turn it into "the car that never was (MS-R)?"

I'm planning on going to my local NT and to Nationals. Beyond that I don't know ($$$).

I really want to see if a fixed car does better than a broken one (it was certainly far easier to drive in the rain at our first event than it was last year at wet events).

Sure will. Hated that we didn't run there last year. Still, the Z might be a better solution for STR there. If it didn't have all season tires I might have reconsidered.

The car is a Touring. Came close to bidding on DiSimo's MS-R though. Just too much money for me to justify.

Looking forward to Lincoln also. I should have just gone last year. I made the wife mad with me being miserable during that week.

Granted miata is prob better for AutoX, but for the Super Speedway, you need to bring the Z as suits it better... at least for fun!

Holler at me when we are down there. I will be in the blue/blacked out/half slammed Z
