Go Zs! When is qualifying? I like those lap times compared to the other cars. It is still very impressive to me that the Z can be competitive with other race proven cars that have years of aftermarket and factory support. These two teams are basically kicking as through trial and error development! Lets see that first win for the last race...

The Z's finished 5th & 6th in GSII. Not a bad first season for either team. Next year GSI will be gone. 350Z's will be fighting for the overall win! Congrats to a good first season to BJ, Michael, Stu & Mike.
It was a fun race.......The Z's just didnt have the big power of the V8s at Daytona.
With 9 laps to go they had a 10 second lead.....we were able to reel them in but some nice driv....( blocking )....... was tuff to deal with.
Both cars had a great run on the last lap out of the bus stop but I came up about 3 feet short.....If the finish line would have been a little further down....
We could really eat them up in the braking zones ..... gotta love those PFC pads and DBA rotors!!!

Anywho.the Z's were just out gunned at Daytona.......
We did end up 4th in the drivers championship for GS2.
Well get em next year!
We had a fun year of development and who knows what next year will bring.
Cheers
BJ

Congrats to the two 350Z cars, BJ and Performance!
This is the first year that I started watching the Grand Am Cup races and got HOOKED. As someone just mention above about GSI being gone for 2004, isn't this going the make it harder for the 350Zs? Aren't they going to face turbo'ed Porsches and C5s now? ...... I guess my question is, is today's GSI & GSII teams be combined as one GS (?) for 2004?

Great job, BJ and everyone else! 4th is very impressive since we've still got a brand new car without the aftermarket support that some of the other guys have. Can't wait to catch the replay.
GS1 will now be called Super grand Sport and will be a Rolex series class.
Grand AM Cup is now just GS and ST.
We will be running against the same group of cars next year just about twice as many in the GS class.
There should be new cars and new teams for 2004. Hopefully we will get a littme more power for 04.
Thanks to everyone that has supported us throughout the year.
Its been quite a ride!

Mazda is entering 4 factory backed RX-8's. Comp should be great. Porsche 911's, Cobras, Camaros, Firebirds, Audi, M3's. BJ I know Performance is running two Z's will you guys be adding another car?
Congratulations on the race and year end results BJ (and team)!
Thanks for taking a few minutes to talk Friday before the race, great to meet you. Also, thanks for your support here on the forums, it's that kind of support that we like. Tried, tested and winning will always get my attention (and $).
If you haven't seen a Grand-Am Cup race, you are missing a ton of fun!! Check the 2004 schedule (http://www.grandamerican.com) and try to make a race, it's a blast to watch! Road racing is so much more fun than the ovals.
See you in Jan!
