Nissan's at RedLine Time Attack

I think the setup would work better with ducting as well. Not to say the 370 and 350 are ultra close in brake setup but the C&D brake fiasco was nailed down to cooling (or lack of). After they changed the pads and fluid they got a moderate improvement but not enough. Considering Terra's got a good BBK the only thing I can see making a difference to keep him pushing through the session is the ducting. Afterall, the ducting is an easy mod and if that doesn't do the trick the pads and fluid are also available.

I was showing about 137 on turn in, then bleed down a little speed thru the corner and back up to 132 for the braking point on turn 3. My car has a tucked bumper and stillen splitter for aero (yes its freaking hairy as hell thru those corners ) and i may get a Nismo V1 or V3 wing for the next event.
Brake pads, Wilwood Poly B that have already had 10 events on them and ATE Blue for fluid.

Wing helps a lot, I have run my car stock, with a Nismo rear wing and with Nismo rear wing and Stillen front splitter, Then added CF dual canards up front and then added the APR rear wing. Big difference at least 10 mph and car is stable with the downforce...

Well i'm contacting Fontana Nissan for the V1 wing, not much downforce or stability but it fits the rules of my class. My team mate (Focus SVT) started tracking down the ducting parts, were doing ducting on both cars.
Next event is at Willow, not many heavy braking areas but the aero will definatly help. I'm also going to try get my motordyne XYZ pipe back in, that should help me a bit with power for the next event.
Few camber adjustments, ducting, aero, and a general tune up. I will be ready to rock at Willow Springs.

Note the Fontana Z runs two 3 inch ducts per side. Here's a link to couple of CFD images of brake cooling. http://www.metacomptech.com/cfd++/cf...ke_cooling.htm

Vid from my run, batteries died mid run, the other clips were from trying to get the camera to work, my friend just threw all the clips together in one vid. I had the camera mounter upsidedown, and thought i had the setting proper to record, so we had to do some vid flipping.
