Default Race Track Attack Guide Series Released

After two years of work, I have written and published five books, which are dedicated guides for the enthusiast high performance driver to five separate race tracks: Laguna Seca Mazda Raceway, Buttonwillow Raceway Park (Configuration #13 clockwise), Willow Springs International Motorsports Park (Big Willow), Auto Club Speedway (the Autocompetition course including the "Roval" of NASCAR Turns 1 & 2 and the 3100 foot long front straight), and Reno-Fernley Raceway Park (the four mile long Configuration "A" run counter clockwise).

All five are to be available on Amazon: (http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss...refix=race+tra

or at Barnes and Noble: www.bn.com

or you can visit the oldest specialty bookstore for auto magazines and books, Autobooks-Aerobooks at 2900 W. Magnolia in Burbank, CA. They will have the books up on their website in a week or two.
www.autobooks-aerobooks.com

These titles have been pre-reviewed by professional racers (Kevin O'Connell and Stanton Barrett of NASCAR, John Wood of IMSA/Camel GT), track owners, event sponsors(SpeedVentures, Redline Time Attack), amateur competitors (Oli Thordarson of SCCA), race mechanics, performance parts makers(Jim Wolf), racing instructors (Danny McKeever of Fast Lane Racing School, and various Porsche and other club chief driving instructors), .......basically enthusiasts from across the spectrum of participation who are high regarded as professional talents, and as gentlemen.

If you are going to take your car to one of these tracks, you might want to take a peek at them. The Amazon site has the "search inside the book" feature loaded. Not all the titles are fully "up", but they should be within ten days or so.

If the interest is high enough, we will expand upon the number of tracks covered with additional titles.

And, yes, all of the photos are taken from the windscreen mounted camcorder on my car during run sessions.

I hope that you enjoy them.

Cheers,

Ed

Thank you Scott. This means that now both you and my mother will have copies!
(PS: She went to Skippy School at age 72 and kicked butt.)

MW9: The grand plan is to do at least the top 30 road racing circuits in the continental United States. The first two series are in the West, because that is where we are based. Although I have run other circuits across the country, the process of doing these titles is intense and time consuming, and requires some serious seat time, discussions with local gurus, more seat time, writing and rewriting and rewriting some more. Then previewing the work and getting it critiqued by talented drivers who know the course well. Then rewriting and rewriting some more. If the interest is strong, then we will recover enough of the outlay for doing the first five to roll it over into doing the next five, and then the next five, etc. If the interest is not strong, then kerplop that is the end of the grand adventure. With several high profile circuits in the West, such as Laguna Seca Mazda Raceway, Sears Point Infineon Raceway, Auto Club Speedway, and Willow Springs International, plus the SCCA regional home course of Buttonwillow Raceway Park, if that does not get acceptance, from the highly qualified and active racing and high performance driving crowd in car crazy California, then there just is not the demand for this type of detailed product. But if there is, I expect to get all 30 done over the next 36 months. We shall see.
