Today went great as well. Ran a similar pace to yesterday, but the guy I held off yesterday qualified on newer tires so he started the race ahead of me. Got a good start, and took it back from him into turn 1. He wasnt in my class but we had a friendly race against each other and we both improved our times and lines from it. Here is some video from yesterdays start, part 2 is coming. Havent gotten around to editing today's video. Part 1 is kinda boring because the race field only had 10 cars in it so its traffic free in front of me for most of it, but the guy who was running with me pretty well was a few cars length back for the whole race. Today's race was better because they threw in 9 spec miatas which gave me some experience setting up passes.

Thanks for the tip! ^^
Only issue of the weekend was an overheat clutch. Between the 95+ heat and my average downshifting, starting to get sticky and hard to disengage. Gears were hard to hit sometimes, which you see at the 7 minute mark or so where I miss my 3-4 shift. Looking at getting a twin disc here before Sebring next month.

That yellow car is a friend of mine, its a Panoz GTS that puts down about 450whp. Weighs about 3000lb with driver and does lap times about 10 seconds faster than me at PBIR lol.

Its not scary at all, I feel very comfortable in a race car. The first start was kinda of intimidating because I was towards the front of the pack so I didnt want to mess anything up. The Z is just an amazing platform to drive. Very predictable and stable. Racing makes HPDE/TT look like an autocross, its just a whole different game. It would be even better with a few cars in my class to play with. Hopefully someone shows up to Sebring next month.
My feelings exactly...W2W racing is very hard to exsplain to folks...the feeling just can't be described in words...at least by me!
BTW: In NASA-SE we have 40-50 car counts in both Lightning and Thunder for a track like Road Atlanta, just a little lower for CMP and Roebling....and the last race of the year we combine both Run groups...wow is that exciting...
There are normally 4-7 PTA cars, and 2-3 PTB cars in NASA-SE...most of the PTA cars are "Thunder Roadsters"...and they are pretty fast, but not much on the top end.
