Track wheels

^ nice wheels dude.
I was about to buy a set of enkei rpf1 9.5 +15 n 10.5 +15.
I was going to do 255/40/18 front and 285/35/18 rear . I also have a g35. This is my summer street car.
Is this a bad track setup? and what will the effect of having the 40 sidewall front and 35 rear sidewall have?

Agreed, and thanks for the follow-up OP. Most just ask questions then disappear.

thanks, went with some nismo lmgt4's
front: 18x8.5 +25 with 255/35s
rear: 18x9.5 +30 with 275/40s
id rather have the same aspect ratio for the tires front to rear but i got a great deal on these so i couldnt pass it up for now. might be widening the front wheels eventually and run a square setup, either 275/35 or 275/40

a 285 tire is too wide for a 10.5" wide wheel? really? then that would mean a 275 is too wide for a 9.5" wheel too then?

I have a g35. i dunno if that makes any difference?
also between a 35 and 40 aspect ratio, the difference seems so small, ie. less than 3mm. Would it really make a noticable difference??? Ill try and get a 35 series for the front too, I was just getting a 40 series for comfort, as in the summer time, this is my daily driver as well.
Also I was planning on running hankook v12s on it.

RPF1 in 9.5/10.5 +15 i would run
275/35 front 275/40 rear My current setup
275/35 front 285/35 rear My next setup
265/35 front 285/35 rear
275/35 front 285/35 rear
255/40 and 275/40 is my daily driven setup with V12's.

Yes, and that's too close. You could run a slip-on shim spacer. That's what I had to do with my 17x10 +25 FN01R-Cs, as the wheel was only 1 maybe 2mm from the spindle.

Great street tire, but it does not handle the heat a tire will develop on the track. Hankook RS3 would be their streetclass of track tire. Yes they also have a soft sidewall. I have no problems daily driving on them.
