NASA FL @ HMS Sprint Race Videos
Hey guys,
Here is some video from this weekends sprint races. Good weekend, picked up both wins, two free Hoosier tires, and 100 bucks in Hawk contingency. As a note, the car has ProsTuning graphics on it now but it is still Japtrix. They are trying to take a broader approach to the racing game so we are running the names parallel for a while. Anyways, here are a few pics..

Saturday
Qualified second overall, 1st in class in a 20 car field. Got a decent start but got held up by a out of class orange Porsche that passes me early. After 7-8 laps, my front brakes were gone, car would not stop, post race inspection showed almost no pad left on the inside right. I figured I would see how long I could get it around since I wanted the win and free Hoosier tire under contingency. For the first 10 laps or so, an in-class Porsche 911 was on my tail and finally gets by me at 6:50 mark or so when I go too hot into turn 8. His lead was cut short though half a lap later when he trail brakes a bit too deep and spins in turn 3. I then proceed to almost lose it in turn 5 because I got a bit anxious at regaining a big lead. I then went on to cruise the car around for the remaining 7-8 laps for the win. Best lap of the day was a 1:38.8, not bad but there is much more in this car. Next time!

Sunday
Some video from the Sunday Thunder sprint race with NASA FL. Qualified second overall, 1st in class in a 15 car field. The pole car on my left was a IMSA Lite prototype. On the start, something fell into his lap distracting him as the green flag came out. I got a 3 - 4 car lengths on the field through the first few turns. With our brake problems fixed, I had more confidence in the car and was able to check out on the in class competition. At the half way point, I went into cruise mode until the checker. Best lap of the race was a 1:38.8, in the second lap.
