I removed the lockout nuts to get more negative camber. To me they don't seem to serve any purpose. If someone has a reason I should put them back on then I will, but I've been running them like that for about 4 months through several autocross events without a problem.

-Thanks beta, I really just have this as a baseline.. I definitely will be doing my tire temps and such to figure out where I need to be and what I like.

-Zazz... yeah the more I thought about it on the way home I realized thats atleast close to what the max should be anyway, I just thought that I'm almost 2" lower than stock, that I should be able to get to -3.

-Jarrodh77... just looked at the piece installed, I have no idea maybe a safety precaution... I would think they put it on for a reason though

You always need a tightening load on a threaded fastener. Just having the rod end loose in the threaded tube will cause the threads to vibrate/work against each other. This can cause galling, fretting, and premature wear. Over time slop will develop.

I put the lockout nuts back on at your advice, and now I'm camber challenged again. I haven't had my alignment checked since putting the nuts back on, but at my last autocross it was 50-60 degrees outside and the inside half of my front tires stayed cold the entire day. Hopefully AM comes out with something soon. Maybe offset delrin bushings combined with some aftermarket arms could be a solution. The 350z finally has a chance to be really competitive in SP with the 2012 class changes, but the lack of negative camber has plagued the car from the very beginning.

I'm low - not slammed, but probably too low in the front for autocross applications. I installed new coilovers a couple months ago, and now that they've settled out I need to raise the front about 1/2". Definitely can't go any lower for camber without the tires rubbing under cornering load.

I have the Kinetix also so I know what you mean. My car is lowered on springs and I can get close to -3 but its all the way to the jam nut.

Just thinking... If you thread a short bolt into the back side of the rod end hosing and tighten against the rod bolt. Wouldn't this take care of the tightening load thats advised by Beta?
