Default looking for some REAL race shocks, Koni, Penske, etc

Anybody have some REAL race shocks/springs for sale? Koni, Penske, etc

I want either single of double adjustable, WITHOUT an external reservoir shocks/struts for a 350Z...springs and misc hardware for installation also needed.

I'm also looking at new stuff also, but prefer used. Once I find the right setup, I'm gonna yank out the current setup and sell it...and will post that in a separate thread,

Scott...I will swap you even-up

The True Choice Koni setup is the way to go....checking on that next week, about $3K based on a quick look online.

Scott, what kit do you have? Phase I, II, IV, or what? IV+ or V?

I also found these Penske shocks with custom adapting hardware...

this is the email received back from my brief inquiry:

RE: SA Penske shocks for NASA PTB 350Z
Sent By:"Guy Ankeny" <gmankeny@earthlink.net> On: May 05/08/11 3:11 PM

John-Will you be using 2.25 or 2.5” frt springs? Rears will be non-coil over? I have made pieces to make the 7500 series shocks work for a 350Z. Costs will be about $650.00 ea. Probably 3-4 weeks. Thanks--Guy

I emailed Guy....got the same answer. Still mulling over the options as well. I already have DA koni's, but they keep leaking (2nd rebuild).

Phase IV. I need to read a book on suspension characteristics - I rarely adjust them currently.

Agreed, they are offering Penske 8100's rebound adjustable. Though making them DA would require canisters.

AST also has a 4100 setup (only thing that concern's me is they have a spec page that lists the oem spring rates, numbers they came up with don't jive. Hopefully that doesn't mean they used the wrong baseline when figuring out damping rates).

The Truechoice phase IV setup is one of the best out their for the track because of the R&D that went into them. Only catch is, they have no settings that make them just ok on the street.

I just need a Full Race setup...an one Pre-Engineered for me.

I have looked at the Penske and AST, but not seeing a "Made for 350Z road race package" ...everything but the Truechoice need some owner-engineering...and I don't have the knowledge to do that.

I talked with AST about the 4100's. They were confident that the OTS valving would be adequate for 700/600 springs. Beyond that...I don't know. The rears are also inverted. I decided just to have truechoice rebuild and valve my OTS TC's.

My guess is he doesn't have the points available if he wants to stay in PTB with remote reservoirs.
