Can knock-back just 'start up'.. ?

It sounds like he has a fair amount of experience with auto-x, hpde.. if this didn't occur before (with same tires, pads, fluid..) why would knock-back start now?
well could be multiple reasons including but not limited to:
fresh tires
more aggresive driving
more exerpience driving
fatigued metal
different venue with more grip
change in tire pressure (creating more grip)

all this is assuming of course it is knock back. we will just have to wait until the OP goes back to the track and tries the different tips in this thread, once we have feedback we can narrow things down more.

It had happened before. I thought the fluid flush would remedy the problem. This was my first event on fresh fluid, and the problem was still there. Hopefully I can get on the track again soon to test out the recommendations.

In other news, the brakes on my avalanche were squealing like crazy. I went out last night to "bed-in" the pads. They started smoking after about 5 "stops," and now the squeal is gone! The thing stops on a dime now, and does so silently.
