Long story short TireRack screwed me by refusing to ship out the R-comp race tires that I ordered 3 months ago, just b/c they stock the tires in Nevada warehouse and I live in East Coast.

So I can't bum ride anymore for the autox so I took the Gencoupe out again riding on dead factory B-stone RE050 tires.

I made a mistake and I drifted the rest of the way across the timing light. The organization didn't kick me out and they seems to like it. I'm a long time autocrosser and compete in Divisional level, so they know I'm not dicking around on purpose... maybe that has something to do with it

btw, the Hankook Z214 C91 compound r-comp are coming in after I spoke with the TireRack manager. Anyone have any experience with them? they are supposedly stickier than Hoosier A6.

I've done stuff like that before, just happens. I wouldn't get in trouble for it either, although the hand out the window might get me in trouble lol. Good control though, looked nice

 

That's great! Before I bought my Z, I was tracking and autocrossing a high hp FWD car. Well, signed up for an autocross but my car was not ready so I borrowed my wife's 2008 Z (with an auto transmission). I never had so much fun. Tail out happy time. I had to have rear wheel drive...

Oh, and BTW, if you need coilovers for the Gen Coupe, let me know...have a used set of KW V3 that need to go.

 

I hate 050s with a passion. As long as you dont take out the timing lights you're cool. I know a few regions that like to put them in dumb places. Its not a coincidence 3 cars take them out.
