Hyundai GenCoupe, my favorite new cone dodging car!
Well my last 4 cars are all Nissan (240sx and G35c), so I never feel like leaving this community.
Recently I replaced my 03' G35 coupe sport pack with a 2011 Hyundai 3.8 R-spec Genesis coupe. It feels pretty much like a G35c with similar power output and characteristic, very similar handling and feedback as well but the chassis is a bit stiffer, rigidity wise is similar to 370z that I drove actually.
Anyways, all I did is throw on a set of R-comp tires and drove the **** out of it We've been dominating the regional level races ever since we started using R-comp race tires and run E street prepared class.
Last weekend my codriver and I finished 1-2 in ESP class, and took 2nd and 3rd overall (PAX) out of 57 drivers.

With the potential SCCA rule change next year, this car will be legal in D-stock class, it's going to be fun. 2012 National tour schedule is out, so maybe I'll see some of you at Adle, GA on March 10th?
Here is a short footage from this past weekend

Dean Sapp drove one in our region this year (the 2.0t version) in G-stock. It/he won the dover tour, but it wasn't terrible fast IMO. The last event I ran with them/him I was ~4s faster on a 41ish second course.

when i was in the market for a car it was between a genesis and a 350z. i went with the z simply because of the aftermarket support. every time i see a genesis makes me sad that im not driving

Hyundai hate is just history repeating. All the Hyundai (read Korean) hate used to be directed at the "crappy" Japanese cars, even when they started to get really good and be a great price value. Many people hating on Hyundai now are going to look like the idiots who cried wolf against the Japanese automakers.

So it may actually be on par with the Z and G. We will see how the overall package actually works, not to mention what it actually does on the dyno.
