Default Racing Seat for larger drivers?

Hey Guys I was wondering if anybody could help me out with picking out a Fixed back racing seat. I'm about 5'11 240lbs and size 38-40 waist. I dont want to end up being one of those people that buys a seat that they cant fit in to like you see on craigslist or the for sale thread. My price range is around 5-600 bucks the cheaper the better though. Do you have any Brands and/or models that you can suggest that not only will I fit into but will also be comfortable for the 4hr drive I have to take to the track?

I use the Recaro Profi XL...it fits and would suit your needs. It's pricier than the corbeau, though.

The wide sparcos don't fit...at least not with door panels.

So I'm guessing the Buddyclub P1 Limited in Wide will also hit the door panel since they are kinda the same shape as the Sparco Evo line?

I would recommend sparco seats, the fighter is pretty damn wide. You should go on their website and check out the resource guide. They have dimensions of each seat. Sparco is one of the widest seat manufacturer that has FIA legal seats.

I wouldn't trust any other manufacturer when it comes to size, comfort, and quality.

Thanks for all the Info guys. I'm staring to think i might just want to find a shop that has some seats in stock and go sit in them one by one to see which one my butt likes. Do you guys have any Ideas of some Shops in the San Diego area who might keep some seats in stock?

Your probably better off just going to an autocross/trackday and see what people and running. Then ask to take a seat to check, much better selection this way.
