but! buuuuutttt! I know CSCS doesnt want people there because they will have their equipment out. But what if I PROMISE not to mess with it. And I volunteer to help with general labour?
The problem is getting my car on the trailer and then back out the gate just to put it all back out in the morning. I need to put on bigger tires, take off the splitter. It is a major pain. That and living 2 and half hours away

CSCS round 1 recap.
Worked to get car ready. Was first real test of the new set up. I was confident of a 1:18 when I showed up at the track, but ring rust, and a lack of experience lead me to a handful of 1:20.1s officially. Some said the track was slow due to a full day of heavy rain the day before. Others said the fact that I mounted my Hankook TD's backwards played a role. lol.But more so I would say it was having my confidence tweaked a bit by ABS electronic failures, the ecu occaisionally limiting me to 160 kmh and the frustration that causes, and a desire to keep my new splitter in one piece.
I did have a 1:19.84 if you count Aim SOLO laps in dashware where you can move the start finish line a little with ease to find the fastest lap.
I actually lost the key to the 350Z for about 45 minutes before the time attack. So that was a potential disaster.
Uh, could go on about stuff, but. too lazy. I prefer videos and pics.

Things I am thinking about doing before June 3rd.
Stiffen anti roll bars? Car rolled all over the place on the R comps
Stiffen the rear shock setting a couple clicks. Understeer like mad I couldn't get rid of. Likely due to APR wing, and
decrease splitter angle to get the front closer to the ground. In some pics I notice it looks like it's pointed up. That and the car rolls a lot!
I need to get VDC issue looked at. Might be a wheel speed sensor signal issue? or who knows. But needs to be looked at for sure. Cant always be worrying about ABS kicking off at random

That's what I saying....I'm no astronaut, but the door is catching air, isn't it?
other aftermarket designs for fenders have a flap moving the air away over the door...
car sounds great man

Yeah, hopefully what I call the door shield will go on before round 2.
I won't buy new suspension this year but I will work to tune the one I have as the year goes on.
I don't need new gears, I need the 1000 extra rpm I'm supposed to have, but can't because of fuel problems. But now I have GTR injectors and Walbro fuel pump. Those may or may not be installed before round 2... but have a real chance of being in round 3.
Still. After thinking about it. 1:20.1. No seat time in 8 months. Totally foreign car, completely not set up. Not finished. Understeering. Never used R comps before. ABS ECU issues. Only 2 drivers on R comps out of everyone driving in all classes were able to beat me and not by much... Not a bad first outing.
Ya it just seemed like 2nd gear was totally exhausted at the exit of a couple corners.
Cant wait to see the door shields.
Ya i didnt say ditch the suspension, but ya.
The gears are like a 300rpm difference, keep the car in the power band. I love em.
And I agree all in all it was a great weekend. Good luck in the future events.

Its an entirely new car, it will get faster. Aero is tricky to as you have to learn to accept more grip as the speed goes up. How did Jim do, I can't remember his times from last year?
Car looks bad *** though, I love it. 1:20 is still blazing fast and you have room to grow, where last year you were stretched to the limit to hit that. Ill be out to help crew for you at some point this season!

Yeah thanks I will need it!
Difference was at the end of the year I had the car perfectly neutral on those dunlops.
Now the car plows.
Will get to work on it and hopefully hit a 55.9 at grand bend. That would be a nice hurdle to go over for me.
