Separate forum for Spec Z
WHY?
IMO,the value of this form is sorta like,"teacher/student,student/teacher".
You learn but you also give what you know if you can help the other guy.
The search feature has a wealth of knowledge on just about anything you
want to know about a Z.The idea about a "spec" forum is interesting. However,
it would greatly diminish the variety of information that is being posted.
At times, there may be some great input from the track end that could be
modified for street use. Also, people just don't have the time to check out sub-categories.
If ain't broke,don't fix it...

Let's consider this, If Spec Z has a decent following and participation (say the same numbers as say SpecE30 or 1/2 Spec Miata) then a Sub Forum would be appropriate. The other thing we may be able to investigate with IB brands is if Nissan wants to sponsor the new forum.

Note: There is a NASA sponsored Spec Z forum on Nasaforums.com for those interested.

Agree with all of the above.
My thinking was that NASA Spec Z is a class composed only of the car that this site is dedicated to and as far as I am aware is the only such class for this car.
In that regard it would seem that My350Z could become the place that folks come to for Spec Z information. especially the tech/build aspect of it since there is a great deal of tech knowledge here. Certainly the NASA forums will be there but they have much less traffic than this site and for the most part the only folks going to the Spec Z forum at NASA Forums will be the handful of current/potential racers.
I believe that a Spec Z sub forum here would attract more than just racers. I might never race my Z but as I upgrade it I will likely follow the Spec Z upgrade path in case I ever do.
But, if the interest in Spec Z is too much of a small niche then I agree, no need for its own forum.
