Time For R Compounds
I went to a square set up with my nismo. RPF1's and 275's ( I went 17 inch rims) front and rear. You can rotate front to rear for longer tire life and it helps with handling ( less understeer--although most of that had been dialed out with alignment anyway.)
I run NTO1's. Nice tire, wears well, good grip.

Going from the 050 to an RS3 will be night and day, great stepping stone tire. You will also get more days out of them than a full R compound. I would try them ( or another track style ) street compound first.
Not trying to be a smartass or OT this thread, but I was really surprised that the OP hasn't upgraded the sway bars yet considering the amount of track use and his desire to upgrade to R compound tires. The stock Z suspension is good, but it's not perfect. Aftermarket sway bars make a significant improvement both on the street and the track IMO.

This is the kind of racing I do (the red Z) - 2:06 on OEM streets vs an Evo on Star Specs - not bad.
Let him by after a couple of laps as the grip was going away. Also prefer to follow then lead after awhile.
