Default 2012 Fla. St. Autocross Championship vid

Wasn't sure where to post this, (Because I drove a Mini instead of my Z in this event) but it's an autocross, so here's the background:

My brother and I both drove his Mini.

Saturday was a test & tune day with two "heats" consisting of 5 runs each. I "won" both heats, between the two of us, but only by a combined margin of ~0.05 seconds.

(and I was trailing the entire second heat until my last run.)

Then today, (the championship day) I went into my final run a few hundredths behind my brother after losing the lead on the second set.

Here's my best run and my brothers best, side by side. (He's on the left and I'm on the right)

The gap was ~0.2 seconds. His last run was even closer, but he picked up a cone. (And wanted to see our best clean runs side by side)

It's great competing against someone I know can, and will, beat me.

*edit*

Holy crap, HS pax + street tire adjustment = 2nd and 4th overall.

(His Mini is just good street tires and a cat back...otherwise bone stock)

Thanks. I really feel like I just happened to be in front when we ran out of runs.

The final result was close, but all our racing up to the last run was ridiculously tight.

Best weekend of racing I have ever experienced. Neither one of us gave any ground to the other.

Twice.

The first time it broke, on test & tune day, I told them we could all drive my Z in BSP for the championship.

But, they got it fixed late in the day and drove it for a run or two on the Championship day.

Sacha drove Craig's Z06 for a few runs though.
