Default Thinking about selling my JRZ Shocks....

So I posted up my brand new JRZ RS shocks for sale. I bought them when I worked for a local shop and had planned on doing a full track car build on my Z. Now that I made the choice to go back to full time freelance photography it is smart for me to reconsider my plans for the car and keep things a little more street friendly, simple and budget minded.

Who knows if the JRZ's will sell, but if they do what do you guys think would be the best option for a $1500-ish budget for coilovers? Maybe Tein Flex with their custom rate race springs? Or would a aftermarket shock, such as a Koni + a lowering spring be a batter choice in this price point? I personally don't care if my car is lowered a .5 inch or stock ride height. I'm more concerned with having a proper spring rate. I do plan on doing around 8-10 HPDE events in 2013.

I'm open to suggestions. Thanks guys.

updated: JRZ's are sold and bought Tein Flex + OEM Brembo's

I can if I really want too but IMO it would be smarter for me to sell them, buy a more budget friendly suspension and use the rest of the money for seats/wheels/OEM Brembo's and be done with modifying the car.

Not a bad deal....I'd want to sell the JRZ's first though.

I hate to say it....but even with less than 40k miles my transmission is going to need to be replaced at some point of 2013....the downshift 2nd gear grind is getting worse, and I'm doing Motul fluid every 5k miles

Tack on the fact I still need to get rid of my single piston calipers for something better and selling my JRZ's for something more budget friendly is starting to really seam like my smartest choice

*sigh*

It's been for sale for a long time. Why? The rear shocks are just off the shelf Koni, not truechoice revalved Koni. But Truechoice is one of the best Z suspension out there if he is selling the complete set.

Sell JRZ's....buy single ohlins for ~$2700 (were on clearance for 2k, but that deal is done and gone). Money left over to replace the trans with a CD009.

If they were at 2k and the JRZ's were sold I would have jumped on them

The problem is selling the JRZ's....not many 350Z owners are will to drop that type of cash on shocks.....even at the STEAL I'm willing to sell them for.

They cost $4810, and JRZ is VERY strict about pricing so none of their vendors will sell them cheaper then over $200 in shipping from Holland....so they run over 5k

I'm asking 4k shipped...so you save $1000.

I'm looking for something a little more simple though. My plan for the car has changed from stripped/caged track car which is chasing times to full interior street car on 300+ treadwear tires that sees the track for fun.

It sucks, but I'd rather sacrifice a track car for a dual purpose car and be happy working for myself while growing my business.

Ok so update here....as expected finding somebody to buy these JRZ's has not been easy. If anybody knows of somebody that wants them I will sell them for $3500 + shipping FIRM....that is $1500 cheaper than buying them else where. This is a freaking steal.

If nobody is willing to give me that price, then I give up and will just install them.
