Thanks. Everyone at work thinks I'm crazy, but I guess you'd have to be a little to "ruin" a perfectly good Z.

"Ruin" is incredibly subjective

Also, I'm going to start removing the sound deadening soon and I noticed you rattle canned a color that was super similar to your DB. Unfortunately, UY is a hard to color to match;think I could get away with just hitting it with some clear? This winter the car will most likely get caged and interior paint.

It depends how you get it out. I was only able to get so much out with a heat gun and a putty knife. The rest I had to wire wheel which stripped the paint. That is why I re-painted it.

I used Canadian Winter, plus hammer and chisel.
Then I copied wire wheel. They spray paint.

I think ulitmetly my main goal is to have a car I could drive everyday, but also take it to the track for a fun weekend and maybe even be competitive.

I love the Z and even though it's not the best car,it's the best car for me.

Also if you've never seen any petrolicious fils you're missing out. My Z over all inspired by this one in particular

Reading the diff thread is making my head hurt. I think I've come to the conclusion of either the quife,Nismo, or Cusco. Running the Nismo cover and a cooler; regardless of which unit I choose.

I would choose OS GIKEN, and I would not choose quiafe.

food for thought.

I would stay away from the Quaiffe. I had nothing but inside wheel spin. Switched to the Nismo and absolutely love it. NO wheel spin at all anymore. I've heard good things about the Cusco and OS Giken as well.

With all the reading I think I'll go Nismo.

Looking like I'll be headed to NJMP or Lime rock in August. I'd also like to hit Watkins Glen in sept.

For the events on the NASA site that are greyed out what exactly does that mean? Registration isn't open yet?

Z33_Taxi, very nice man. I just got done working on my car a few minutes ago. Silly stuff but fun, installed a throttle controller I got for free and the 380rs pedal into my Z. I've always had a problem with foot slipage and babying the throttle. I think these tweaks will make me happy. Of course, there is a lot more done to my car, but that's another story.

Have you ever thought about coming out to Summit Point? That's my home track and a lot closer to you than VIR, although VIR is flipping amazing! We should all do another track day.

There are a lot of great things you and some other posters are doing. I might have to copy you KingBaby as well.

Going to the track this weekend. I'll keep you updated!

Summit point is a great track. I've been there to spectate some drift events.

I'm loving all the build threads coming out

I think I'll hit 2-3 HPDEs this summer. Make my notes and based on those start with the modifications. I have an idea of what I want, but don't want to waste money on stuff I don't need

Yeah, I can understand that. Not wanting to waste money, but it will happen. Just mitigate the amount of it by research . You are smart, you got this.

I just don't want to waste money on mods going into HPDE1. Want to put more emphasis on driving skill. The few track days I've been to I would see this cars with amazing set ups, but the drivers were sub par.

Flat spotting new tires and destroying brakes/rotors

Tires and brakes are the best mods for HPDE. Saying that, best thing to do is to learn your own setup. For the most part, I've upgraded my car fairly slowly. First year, brakes, rotors (Carbotechs and cheap blanks) and halfway through that year ACT Clutch and lightweight flywheel (clutch died), second year Kaaz LSD, and third year Front and Rear camber kit and Coilovers. Took time learning each setup. Changed a couple of things here and there, and now I have some great tires, and checking my tire pressures after each run.

No power mods, except soon I'll have a couple. This car does not need more low end power, but it does need some top end! I have plenum spacers to install and I think I'll get longtube headers and exhaust. That will probably be the last of any power mods I do.

Learn and grow my friend.

Any clue why some events are grayed out and others aren't? I want to sign up for Lime rock on the 23rd and also watkins glen for the 27-29, but one isn't highlighted and Watkins said registration is closed..

I'm still super new to this so I thank you in advance

Some events are supported through motorsports reg others not, just a listing. (greyed out) It should not matter to you tho, if you trying to reg.
Glen event will open up in a few days, it says first line of the text.

Im planning on attending the Glen event as well.
