Sway bar adjustment - Need directions please !
Hi,
after a broken leg last year, i'm finally able to track my car this year. I did 5 days of racing and i'm still trying to find the right balance with my sway bars and shocks adjustment.
i do time attack events, club racing and lapping days only. This is a track car only and i have a trailer for the car.
here my setup :
3040 LBS with passenger seat
cross weight 50/50
Club sport KW suspension
camber arms Front and rear
Hotchkis F/R sway bar
Hoosier R6 (racing) or Nitto NT-01 (lapping)
So, how is your sway bar adjustement on your race car ?
Thanks for the help,
Martin

The problem with this question is that swaybar setting are not only specific to what your Z is doing at the track you're on, it's also a matter of personal preferences. My swaybar adjustments make the Z rotate pretty easily and I find that's the fast way for me. Other racers like more understeer dialed in and you can certainly find the limit that way as well.
Your track day Z is quite a bit lighter than most T3 and Spec Z racers because of the rules, so our setup info is also of limited use in that regard.

I think suspension is all subjective to the driver. Obviously there are certain rules or known factors that are stone clad, but I think it's all about how you react to how the car drives.
I'm interested on other peoples answer though. I know a few people on here run just a front sway bar for more front grip

I would start full soft rear, and one up from full soft front.
My car has full soft rear, and thinking about swapping back to OEM rear bar , then the front is staggered between hole 2 and 3

Hotchkis front and rear
728lb (13k) front springs
336lb (6K) rear springs (true coilover)
285/35-18 Hankook RS3 all around
OS Giken diff, cause it makes a huge difference in suspension setup.
Then i also run a 3.5 inch splitter and APR Wing.

I just remove my 4.08 final drive, i bit to short for the 2013 tracks program, but as soon as i put somes cams ans springs, i'm thinking of a 3.90 final drive with a 7500 rpm limit would be perfect for my car.
Thanks for sharing,
Martin
