I typically have races that are 10-20mins and in 4 years of racing havent had a boot failuer. Do you think its being caused by low ride height?
Is the wd40 tube to be used as a vent?

The thing is, the car is quite a bit higher than I used to run in BSP autox. That car is dead hooked up, so I want to try and mitigate heat/vent technique first.

I was doing more laps than usual. Typical TT session is a warm up lap 2-3 hot and in. I was running 7-8 hot laps since I was on pirelli's. That said, there was no issue in 12 sessions at VIR the prior month.

Just a heads up, I just got done working with Cody at Brooks for the chassis mount for the elite wing. I'll let you know when it gets here for fitment and photos.

Thanks for the lead on the company.

Updated Parts List for the FI stuff:

Vortech V3 SCI
Treadstone IC
M-Spec 3" Intake/Maf pipe
Stock Crank Pulley
3.33" (have a 3.25 and 3.12 also)
GTR Injectors
DW 255 Fuel Pump
Uprev MAF

Pretty sure the with the v3sci the car is going to make 400whp with my breather mods on the base 3.33 pulley, so we'll start with that. The fluidampr was likely going to get the boost up near 10psi, which would have almost certainly put me over the max whp I can make.

Can't imagine how much different your car is going to run with the new setup going in. Waiting for a vid of your first run at the track.

Just do what the corvette guys do and detune the top end, get power sooner and plateau it off.

Only way to really do that is to run a small pulley and wastegate the blower set-up, but it creates some real belt slip issues. That's a maybe for next year.

Won't the fluidampr spin the 3.33 just a hair faster? Just have your tuner pull a bit of timing up top if it goes over your allowable P/W unless its just not worth the investment for a presumably small gain.

It does and I have a feeling we're going to have to be soft on timing to stay at 400-410whp on the stock 3.33 with all the breather mods. I wouldn't mind putting the car back on ethanol to help with cooling, but that's next year as well and I'll probably need more fuel.

In a perfect world, I would want to run a fluidampr, 2.87 and then bleed off the boost at 8-9psi on ethanol, but apparently it is a nightmare to keep the belt from slipping. It would be pretty much flat from 4500 and up but it would spin the **** out of the blower.

Install and tuning more or less done. Still a little partial throttle and touching up to do later this week, but the car will be around 400-405whp (still on a 3.33). We were able to put together a set-up that would potentially work for TT3 if I decide to go back. Would have to ballast a bit, but I could get it to a 340-345whp average pretty easy.

Will run a few events like this and then play around with smaller pulley and/or crank pulley and flattening the powerband out up top.

Final TT2 tune done. Bounces b/w 400-405ish on a dynamics (dj correction....it's pretty close).

Plan to try and finish up some of the dash/sound ****/wiring/cage paint and make a few canards out of kydex before Oct when I hope to run VIR then RA the next weekend for Znationals.

A powerband that would make a vette blush. I like it.

Is kydex strong enough for a canard? I had ruled out plastics altogether on the set i'm making

Got a couple of 12x12 1/8" kydex plates. Stuff is pretty substantial...

I'll give it a first shot this weekend I think, but no real testing for a while.

I can only imagine what that is like to drive on the track now. Definitely looks like you are feeding your addiction well!

Yup...will revise the aero on the non nismo bumper a bit (plan to be a little more thoughtful about the nismo v3 set-up over the winter) and maybe steal Alex Gallardo's idea for the rear bumper area around the wheels....

Car seems to make good midrange power/tq compared to other cars on a 3.33 pulley. Most likely because it uses a true 3.5" intake (with velocity stack and everything retained) to the blower. The exhaust set-up is also pretty efficient.

As she sits about to roll on the trailer to come home...

Am considering selling the car as whole, with all spare wheels/tires/body work, etc. Don't need to sell it but considering a new car. Price 32k. Not a for sale ad, just a feeler, but could be motivated at that price.
