Valkyrie Autosport in-car - Sonoma WET!
Some in-car from our first NASA Super Touring event of the season this past weekend. Couldn't quite track down the BMW for first, but still a lot of "fun" in the wet at Sonoma.
Yup, didn't have anything for him in the rain, but we are finally on par in the dry. We turned some 1:44's in testing a few weeks back. Hope to break into the 43's with a change to A7's from R7's. Looking forward to that battle!

Nice vid and good drive- Sonoma is tricky enough anyway, but in the wet becomes a different animal! Must have been a bit of a pucker each lap down through those esses where you have to commit to your line. It appears the wet line you employed was only about a half car length off the (polished) fast line? Are there any particular spots on the "classic Sears Point circuit" where water pools, or you notice it gets VERY slick?

Through a lot of sections even though there might be a little more grip to be had off line, the penalty for being off line far out weighs the extra grip. The esses for example, yes you could drive off line and have more grip, but slipping around on line and making them as straight as possible is still the way to go. Same thing with turn 1, you can go further outside on a rain line, but the bump out there is way worse. That point is illustrated on lap 2 I think where I drifted sideways up turn 1 into 2.
Then there is turn 10, no race technique applies when there is 1" of standing water on the ground, one way or another, you are hydroplaning
